The Horror Is Back...

A solid year and a half ago when i bought my PS3, I purchased Assassin's Creed, Uncharted: Drake's Fortune, and DEAD SPACE...

GameInformer's avid readers that EA Games is bringing back Issac Clarke for a much awaited, long debated, DEAD SPACE 2.

I absolutely LOVED the first game, it was incredibly atmospheric and very terrifying.
Dead Space reminded me why we were once afraid of the dark...
But in vein of Alien-to-Aliens,
Dead Space 2 will have a much more combat feel, one could almost say... "this time... its war."
Borrowed in no small part from the promotional tagline for "Aliens".

Here is the Dead Space 2 trailer,

Amazing...
damn you EA, now my expectations are SKY HIGH!

Please... I Beg Of You...

There are several actors that inject a sense of validity and respect into the movies in which they play in.
Morgan Freeman,
Sean Connery,
Anthony Hopkins,
Russell Crowe,
and possibly several more.
HOWEVER, flaunting Russell Crowe as Robin Hood is NOT a smart move.

RDJ as Sherlock Holmes was brilliant casting, even in the trailers. Was there ever a doubt?

But the new Robin Hood movie feels like its going to do well. I dont like that.
Ridely Scott was a genius with Alien, and Kingdom of Heaven was pretty good, and every other movie of his i've seen was good...
HOWEVER
I hope Robin Hood fails.
"The untold story..." thats what it says in the trailer...
Well... what was wrong with the one we know?
Or was Kevin too hard to live up to?
Sorry but I liked that one.
This seems too much like another Kingdom of Heaven to me, with the epic war scenes and such, and Cate Blanchet as Marion.
That lady has NO sex appeal! Maybe to a middle ager like Crowe, but to the rest of us... please! Dont insult us! The trailer felt contrived and unoriginal, Im expecting good, im hoping for failiure. Don't ask why, I just want Mr.Scott to know that two big names, and a reimagining of a CLASSIC story DOES NOT a good movie make.

Now i almost feel guilty about saying all this, and maybe im wrong, maybe im gonna love it, but Robin Hood has lost its fairy tale appeal... its frustrating to see all the fantasy and excitement sucked out of it and we're left with dramatic glances and more lord of the rings battle sequences.
This is one movie I wont be waiting in line at the theaters to see... no way.

Predators, Iron Man 2, The Last Airbender, Splice, are all movies i REALLY want to see,

As well as the upcoming Thor, Green Lantern, and Avatar sequal.
But robin hood? DVD at best... im not wasting my theater tickets on what looks like a terribly contrived talking cliche.
Please Scott, I beg of you... STOP MAKING MEDIVAL MOVIES! WE"VE SEEN IT ALL!
